Hello. We are relocating to the Orlando area this fall. We were curious about lake county. My husband will work for Florida Hospital in Orlando. What neighborhoods, towns would you recommend? We are looking for a quiet family centered neighborhood.
Thanks for any suggestions!!!

I recently bought a home in The Plantation.....but there are many areas to check out in the Leesburg, Mt. Dora, Eustis area.
Some of the developments are discussed here.........

The Florida Hospital in Orlando. if it is the one I'm thinking about off Orange Ave, would be at least a 45 minute commute using the east west expressway. I would make sure you want to live that far from work. The Clermont area is close to the turnpike which takes you to the east west expressway. Mount Dora/Eustis area (Eustis east side) is 15 minutes from the 429, which takes you to the turnpike (about a 10 minute drive) then your next exit off the turnpike is the east west expressway. Any place else in Lake County would be a much longer commute. Lake county is a nice place to live though, IMO. I hope this helps. One other plus to the Mt.Dora area is the much needed Apopka bypass is being constructed, making the commute to downtown Orlando much better, as Apopka is a bottleneck on 441 during rush hour, or any hour for that matter. Hope this helps with your decision.
