I've been checking out neighborhoods to move into and this one area around union park didnt seem too bad. I know people say there are exceptions to some areas and I want to know how bad this one is.

The street name is rivers edge dr. It seems like a normal so-so area. As long as its safe I dont really care about how it looks. Anyone know of people who have lived here or know how safe this specific area is? Thank you!

The area isn't as new or well kept up as it's next door neighbor Waterford lakes but crime wise it's about the same. Which isn't bad. The people are lower class, a lot of minorities and "red neck" type ppl.

It's an average area. I grew up there.

Nothing is 100% safe. I would say it's definitely safer than Pine Hills.

Full of uneducated, unemployed street racing hispanics and remaining blue-collar whites and old people waiting to die.

Oh don't forget the many homeless camps in the woods in the area.

Other than these things Union Park is fine.

There are many good websites that can give you crime stats for a zip code. To rely on less is trusting opinion which may not be based on anything.

There are some good neighborhoods in 32825, as well as 32828 and a few others near.

Good luck.

If you "must" live in that area you might want to check out neighboring zip codes 32828 (Waterford/South Alafaya Area) and 32817? ( University area), it might be slightly more, not much more expensive but more desirable than that Union Park area. I lived there for a bit as well .

we are on the south end of Dean Road (below Lake Underhill and above Curry Ford) and it is quite a good area.

No crime, no troubles, friendly neighbors. "A" rated school for my Daughters.
Close to both 417 and 408 (only 12 minute drive to the city, 15 minutes to the airport)

It is still a 32825 zip code.
I guess it is the same everywhere in Orlando, each zip code has both good and bad areas.
