What a pain in the A#* going to vacation rental sites, and seeing hundreds of homes for rent in Orlando, with every last one of them being in

Clermont, Davenport, Kissimmee, or god knows worse.

Last I checked, none of those cities are Orlando, they're not even Orange County.

Is there any place you can refine a search to actually find places within at least Orange? Who the heck can stand to drive all the way out to Clermont back and forth on vacation.

I get the Disney appeal, but last I checked that wasn't technically in Orlando either.

Where can I find vacation homes in ORLANDO proper?

You can't. Orlando isn't zoned for short term rental. The area of Clermont with the short term rentals is much closer to Disney than Orlando is.

Are you looking just for a vacation rental or a "real" rental?

FYI, something to make sure of if you are looking for a 'real' rental.... that the house has some trees covering it. I am paying almost $400/month for a house with no trees and it SUCKS!!

Check Craigslist. They have temporary and permanent options.

It will be harder to find in Orange County as unless right around International Drive. As stated very few Orlando communities are zoned for short term rentals and very few HOA's allow it.

Orange county doesn't allow short term rentals, right?

The area outside of the community isn't that great, but as long as you aren't out at night, you should be fine.
