Does anyone live in the Seminole Pointe Apt.'s in Sanford? I'm considering a move there. Prices literally cannot be beat. . Is Bentley Elementary a good school? I'll also be concerned about middle school soon. Can anyone tell me what there is to do in this area?(I'm mainly concerned about my daughters ages 8 & 12). I'm wondering about the job market here in the field of early childhood education as well(preschool & Kindergarten mainly)?

I have no idea how many of these places below are close to these apt.'s & I'm hoping someone can give me a run-down...

-Military Hospital(daughters have military insurance)
-Library
-Post Office
-Beach
-Natural Springs
-Mall &/or shopping(grocery)
-Restaurants(not fancy or expensive)

I appreciate anyone's take on this area(Seminole County), especially if you've experience it firsthand. Thank you very much.

It's in a pretty good area, mostly new build over the past several years. I can't speak to the apartments themselves, only the area as I live there myself. Bentley Elementary is an A+ rated school. The closest military hospital is in Orlando, east of downtown. The nearest VA clinic is closer, in Orange City. The nearest library is in downtown Sanford, which is about 5 minutes east of the apartments. THe post offfice is 1/4 mile away. The closest beach is New Smyrna Beach, where many of the locals go. It's about 40-45 minutes away. Wekiva Springs and Blue Spring are the two local springs I'd recommend checking out. In terms of shopping there's quite a bit to choose from. You can walk to an Aldi or BJ's, and a Target SuperCenter, WalMart, Sam's Club or traditional grocer (Publix) are a short drive away. The Seminole Towne Center Mall is minutes away as well. There are a number of casual restaurants nearby to choose from. Also worth checking out with kids, the nearby Central Florida Zoo. Hope this helps and good luck!

Kyle is correct in that the apartments are in a decent location. OTOH, apartments, especially in Sanford can be iffy. I'd suggest checking out condos or townhomes instead. Alot of times the rent is less expensive and they are individually owned.

There are quite a few condo rentals available in Lake Mary, from what I saw as I was searching for rentals there. I'd definitely say the prices are better than the apartment complexes. I believe at the beginning of my search I came across Seminole Pointe and found some really bad reviews, though the place appears nice online. I think it may be a subsidized community- which makes the rents appear lower. It can also bring a mixed bag as far as neighbors/community. Also, plenty of condos/townhomes in Longwood and Altamonte. Not sure the size you're looking for but we needed a 3br.

I actually believe my youngest daughter would be going to Bentley after the move if we weren't homeschooling. But the schools there are clustered, so you don't necessarily know which one your children will go to- there's a rather complex explanation on the Seminole County schools website. If we were using the schools I'd probably lean towards living in the zone for Lake Mary Elementary. Lake Mary appears to have a wonderful Montessori school that I'd prefer over the public schools any day, however it's not an option for us right now. I haven't really looked at the middle or high schools.

You are correct about the condos in Lake Mary. I'd definately chose Lake Mary condos over Sanford apts. Once again, I agree about the apts in Sanford. Looks can be very deceiving. Northwest Cluster in Sanford is fine. My kids went to Wilson and I was very happy with the school. All the others are fine as well.
