Hey everyone,

I got picked to organize this year's holiday office party. We're doing the night of the last day of a big conference at the OCCC, so we were looking for something either along I-Drive or in downtown Orlando.

It can be a private room in a not-too-expensive restaurant, or maybe a conference room in a hotel that allows catering. We'll be about 20 people.

Any advice or previous experiences are appreciated because I'm a little clueless Thanks!

You might try Citrus which is a nice, contemporary non-chain restaurant on Orange Avenue downtown. They have a number of private dining options and is something they regularly work with.

Fleming's or ocean prime on sand lake are good if your budget allows

What's your budget?

"Not too expensive" means different things to different people.

Thanks for the responses!

Originally the budget was $1000 for 20 - 25 people. That's turning out to be unrealistic, but I'd still like to be around $1500.

Citrus came closest, with private dining menus starting at $45 per person. Ocean Prime looks good, but also more expensive.

I'm leaning towards restaurants because by the time I find an okay space to rent out and hassle with catering, it's upwards of $1400.

Thanks again for any advice!

Why are you using only those two geographic areas? If you are staying on I-Drive, you'd need to cab it to downtown. Expand your search to Sand Lake and Winter Park and you'll have a ton of choices.

Luma would be a good option.

Yeah, either of those areas are > than I-drive IMO. Seriously, leave I-drive for the tourists. The best restaurants arent there.
