Hello all - So the wife and I are thinking about going somewhere this weekend to change our sights from the usual Disney/Universal. Any pretty towns near Orlando that we can visit to visit and take some nice pictures. No attractions, just nice picturesque towns and nice sights. No more than a brisk 30 - 45 minute drive. Any ideas?

Thanks.

VICTOR.

Just curious, have you strolled down Park Ave in Winter Park? What about downtown Thornton Park/Lake Eola?

Other small downtowns to visit are Winter Garden and Sanford.

Thanks Booya and Pete C. i will check that out.

@ Pete - yes I have strolled down lake Eola and tried to do the Church Street scene but that's not us. We like the little towns like Celebration. The wife loved it.....

You would probably like Park Ave by day...that is the most charming shopping area in Orlando just to walk around.

Mt Dora
Sanford-downtown First St, the historic area and homes and the Riverwalk.
St Augustine is nice but a bit further.
