I'm curious when hurricane season is?

Are winters cold or warm? I keep hearing different things.

Summers I hear are hot and steamy.

Falls sound nice and I'm guessing springs are nice too.

Thanks for your help!

Hurricane season is in the summer through the fall (June 1st-November 30th). Summers are very hot and humid. Fall and spring temperatures vary from cool to warm. It fluctuates- when a cold front moves in the temps drop but they can move right back up again. Winters can get chilly, sometimes dipping into the 20's and 30's at night and usually staying in the 50's during the day. But again, warmer winter temperatures are not uncommon.

Summer is hot and steamy. The heat usually starts April/May and goes til mid to end of October. Cools down to the high 70's to low 80's in the day in November. December can go either way. It can cool down and some nights can be in the 40's but warms up to low 70's. Christmas can be 80. Jan and February are usually the coolest months. Sometimes we get frost and down to the 20's at night. Some days don't make it out of the 50's or 60's. Other days are low 70's. Then March hits where some days are 80's and others 70's. It just depends. To sum it up, it's usually hot here for 8 months, July, August and September being the worst. The rest of the year is pretty nice. Hope this helps.

No problem, just don't move here (if that's what you are thinking) for the weather. There are 10 Million other reasons to choose to be here, and it's possible 9.99+ million aren't for you. Weather could just be another factor, or something you choose to deal with. It could be there is only one reason you want to be here and it is enough... but don't let weather be why you come here.

Average temps for Orlando...
Monthly Weather Averages and Records for Orlando, FL

Something that takes getting used to is that temperature differences between day and night during the winter can be significant. For example, it would not be abnormal to freeze your butt off leaving for work (40 degrees), only to be roasting in your heavy coat during your 2 pm break (65 degrees).

Anyway... summer is hot and humid and rainy - fall is hot and humid but with slightly cooler nights - winter fluctuates, usually okay but with dips below freezing that last for a few days to a couple of weeks - and spring is very warm but usually less humid than summer.

November, December, March, and April are nice months. October is nice at night. Jan and Feb are too cold for my Floridian blood. May-Sept are very hot. BUT... everything here is air-conditioned.

The first summer here is the worst. After that you get pretty much used to it. October through March are usually pretty nice but summers are hot. Right now it's beautiful!

Keep in mind you don't really have 4 seasons here, no matter what the calendar says. It's warm or cool in Winter. Spring, summer, fall can all be hat/warm and humid and similar to a northern summer. One poster said the first summer is the worst. That's his experience. Many others leave FL because the 7-9 months of summers start to run together for them. Nobody really knows how they will handle the climate until they live here all the time.

the 4 seasons are measured by the bugs, not the temperature

and the types of plants blooming or oak leaves falling.
