Strange, most of the people that I have encountered in my various trips to many cities seem to be very pleasant and happy. If I ever feel depressed, I cheer myself up by thinking that at least I don't live in Bakersfield....

I'm so sad here in Orlando that I can't collect my thoughts to add any comments.
Boo who.
Just kidding; Orlando and suburbs are great. I could not be any happier.

Trying to keep a low profile, I didnt announce it here but I was in Orlando this past week (Nov 26-Dec 1) and inspite of the fact that I was visiting my father who is dying of lung cancer, I have to say I was much happier than I had been in Las Vegas

It was nice to see Lake Eola, Gino's Pizza, DT Orlando overall, The FL Mall, JYP, Hunters Creek, all the places I hold dear. The trip was really good for me and I feel much better for it. I actually dreaded coming back to Las Vegas, especially since temps were in the low 40s and there were snow flurries when I landed

I agree! ^^^

I find the Midwest to be filled with many folks like that who could care less about moving to Florida and are quite happy with the four seasons. Not only that but it's nice to be around people who smile, say "you're welcome" versus "no problem" and acknowledge the presence of other human beings during their everyday lives.

I hear good things about Fargo, but at the end of the day, I'm such a weather person that it cannot be outweighed by those harsh winters. I know some other people who fall into that camp as well.

Unfortunately after reading the article and some comments, you have to wonder if the comments are real or just the effect of anti-depressants.

Just making a general statement, used comment as an example, not directed to poster personally.

"It also compiled information from a website called SimplyMap to determine the percentage of households using antidepressants and the number of people who say they feel sad all or most of the time."

Why all the denial? Hard numbers of prescribed anti-depressant usage per capita alone should indicate a reliable overall determination. It's not a personal attack on these Florida cities, just fact...get over it.
