Hey,

So I'm moving to Orlando in March for a job. I'm 23 years old and I know no one there so it should be a interesting move. I'm not sure exactly sure where the good locations are. I"m coming from Virginia Beach where my 1bd was $850 so the prices there are great.

Where are some locations that are good for young, single, people. I am great at adaptability so any location is ok. But I'm looking for something in a great location, where my doggy can go to the park and have fun. Oh and where are some places I can meet people, I'm great with making new friends just wondering where some key locations are.

What is the music scene like regarding jazz, rock and heavy metal?

Would you recommend this a place for single professionals to move to and start a life?

Any Advice I will take

My general recommendation is that the closer to the city core, the better for young singles. My suggestions would be Thornton Park, Audubon Park, College Park, Colonialtown, South Downtown, Winter Park, Maitland and Altamonte Springs. Plenty of parks, recreation and young people. The price though will likely be much higher, $1000 for a good 1br but you could easily get a roommate and pay much less. I would also look into private rentals. There are plenty of young professional networking events all the time but my recommendation for meeting people is get involved in a local charity or sports league.
