It is a trek to Magic Kingdom but the Disney buses stop at the Swan, so free, convenient transportation is provided.

I love the Disney Parks but am not a big advocate of their resorts in recent years. We believe the quality has diminished in the care and housekeeping. The Westin/Swan have our business now and besides we earn points. That's as good as money back in your pocket for staying with them.
We are only going to the magic kingdom. How long would you say the bus ride takes? The room would be free at the Swan and we are Platinum so we would most likely be upgraded to a suite if available. I heard the 18th floor might be more renovated.

It will be a good 20 minute bus ride because of stops at the Dolphin, Beach and Yacht Clubs to pick-up additional guests.

There are towncars available at the main entrance as another option for getting to the MK. I would check with the Valet Desk before you hire one though to make sure of the cost. It shouldn't be more than $15-20 each way.
