Maybe some of you don't realize that PR is part of the United States.

I know former FL congresswoman Ginni Brown Waite was unaware of that when she referred to them as foreigners...LOL.

Pretty bad when an elected official doesn't know that, even by FL standards.

Yet...many seem to have no interest in integrating with the rest of the populace. That's strange. It's like distinct suburbs being designed for transplants from Ohio.

Yes they only live in areas where there are other significant Puerto Ricans unless they are mixed with another race. Specifically they live in Kissimmee the unofficial puerto rican capital of america, South Orlando, East Orlado, Poinciana, Cassleberry, Altomonte springs,Deltona, and growing in Places like Clermont and Sanford.

Most of the Puerto Ricans in Orlando are from came here via New York. About 10,000 people per day move to Florida and more come from New York than any other state.

Exactly, an excellent point. The Puerto Rican element of transplant isn't primary, rather being a New Yorker who happens to be Puerto Rican. Much like the Jewish influx into South Florida during the 60s and 70s. I don't think it was referred to as a Israeli migratory phenomenon since they were moving in from NY, NJ and other points.

10,000?!? I remember back during the real estate boom, they said we were gaining about 1000 ppl per day... but 10,000? I'd like to see the article/link on that one.

LOL, you're right...it was about a 1000 a day during the boom. 10,000 a day would be frightening.
