We are considering a relocation from Missouri to the Lake Mary/Heathrow area. We are looking for a place in a safe area with 2+ bedrooms. We have a large dog so an apartment won't work, but a townhome/duplex/house would be perfect. Anybody have any suggestions or know of any good rental websites? I'm really wanting to stay under $850 per month, but with the cost of living differences I'm wondering if that is doable?

Thanks in advance!

Check Craigslst. Rental rates have gone through the roof. Average rental is $100/sq ft. I think you could find something in your price range but not necessarily in Lake Mary/ Heathrow. In your price range, that pays for an apartment or condo. There maybe some small duplexes in the older part of Lake Mary behind Lake Mary Elementary. You might check neighboring Sanford. You have to be picky though because certain areas are good and others aren't. Also, maybe Longwood. If you have questions about certain areas, let me know by DM and I will do my best to help you.

I think it can be done but will be tough. Good luck!

Thanks for your help! That is what I was afraid of. We pay 675 per month to rent a spacious 3 bed 2 bath home in a subdivision here in MO. I knew the prices would be higher in Orlando but I wasn't expecting to pay 1,300 per month for a house similar to where we live now. Its been a while since I've lived in FL but I'm really wanting to move back! I would be transferring with my job to our Lake Mary/Heathrow site so preferably a city nearby so that my commute would not be too long.
