The U.S. Department of Labor requires employers with 100 or more employees to provide notification 60 calendar days in advance of mass layoffs.

The State of Florida has 24 Regional Workforce Boards, which are responsible for providing direct assistance to employers and workers affected by layoffs and business closings.

Here is a list of expected layoffs across Central Florida (Counties of Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Lake, Volusia and Brevard) during the next 60 days, as posted by the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity:

My company is still looking for a few people (we just hired half a dozen), but with a very specific skill set. The jobs aren't advertised because it's a niche business and we've found that word of mouth and employee referrals is the best way to hire good quality people.
