Haha Nice post man. Hey they picture makes downtown Orlando look shiny and stuff. But people always seem to dismiss Orlando is an actual city. How the heck is it not? It's a great place to live. has rotten areas like everywhere else but there are so many pro's here for anybody thats willing to deal with a few negatives, although both are subjective.

What's great about living in Orlando?

Great post Davie except for me the Universal slide should say "Where I worked my first job" and than the downtown slide should say "Where I work now". Being a theme park attendant is like a right of passage for most Central Florida teens.

FloridaBorn is right, we ARE the 25th largest metro area in the US. Sure we're not in the top 10 or 20, but its still significant IMO

The weather in Orlando is great (Especially lately)

Orlando is a fairly modern city (ie most home construction is 1980s-present)

The awesome shopping, dining, and drinking options

A vast highway network that will get you anywhere in minutes

The lush tropical greenery

The (and I know few will agree) friendly residents (at least the ones I've met)

Monster in the Morning on 104.1

Our ethnic diversity, and acceptance of other people and culture

The different styles of homes around the city (ranging from early 20th century bungalows to current cookie cutter construction)

No matter what your taste or clique, there is something in this town for you

Just to name a few things that make Orlando great

For a city of its size, it has some truly world-class amenities IMO. Great location and weather, not too far from multiple beaches.

Right on!!! Sea World was my first job haha. As a Teen in Central Florida, you have to have worked at a theme park, it was the only way to live. Saturdays were beast after I clocked out haha.

ahh! Fantasy vs Reality....nice synopsis (in pictures) of life in Orlando!

I'm a little confused ...are you expressing your life in Orlando as a positive or a mediocre/boring existence?

Just curious....

Hope all is well with you Davie!

Just to add on to what davie said is great about living in Orlando.
For me personally:

The Tropical Like Weather
The Greenery
The Theme Parks, Which I Am A Theme Park Baby
The different communities
Old style Pre 2000 homes and the new cookie cutter, and more mordser
Proximity to two major bodies of waters with other beaches and cities
The extensive roadway system
The diversity
The number of lakes
Year round activities always happening
Friendly People here
The fact it's building an identity, it's cool to be apart of that instead of remembering it.

those are a few for me.
