I am not a native to Orlando, but I miss Orlando a lot too. I live in MA now and just don't feel home here. I am hoping to move back in a few years. I think it will be at least 5 years before I start looking to move back, which is too long!

I see people do this all the time. I think once you live in Orlando, you get spoiled with all there is to do here. That is one plus to living here.

One of the reasons I love florida is that you can be out and about all year. Winters are so hibernating, just so long and cold.
I am always reading about the people who want to move out, its nice to see the opposite here.
I feel the same way about Myrtle Beach. I do still love PA. but here in SC I can be out all year long.
No more being cooped up inside, watching the days go by. I might have felt different if my bones didn't ache in cold weather, but they do. I am finding many here who tell me the same thing about their living north.
I'm sure Orlando feels the same. Lots to do and places to visit during those winter months.
I actually forgot we even "had" winter here when hubby was telling me about a "winter clothes" sale. I was thinking, " why when we didn't have winter yet." LOL

Yup, that is why if we do move, it's going to be in the south. It will most likely be in the Carolinas. It definitely won't be back in PA. PA is where we will visit family and that is it. I like the southern culture better as well. I know people will argue that but I feel different here and like it better than PA. Maybe it's the sunshine and endless activities as well.

I didn't appreciate the fact that I could be out all year in FL until I left. Last year the winter season was horrible and even though this year was pretty mild I still couldn't handle it. My skin gets very dry in the winter and cracks all the time. Even if I am religious about putting on hand cream there are still times when my skin cracks and starts to bleed. I think snow is beautiful in pictures, but seeing it in person makes me freeze even more.

We moved from FL to NC 6 years ago thinking the "grass would be greener" on the other side...WRONG! We took for granted all that FL had to offer and miss it greatly! Glad to say we are moving back in 6 weeks and 5 days, but who's counting
