I'm looking for an estimate of how much utilities might cost in total for a 5 bedroom house around 3,000-3,300 sq ft. It will probably be fairly new, built from 2002-2007.

Also, it will be a house shared by 5 roommates.

Anyone have a house around this size and can enlighten me on how much I can expect to pay for electricity, water, sewage, heat, trash, internet etc. altogether? Just a price range would be perfect! Thanks.

I lived in a house of similar size with 5 roommates. Our electric bill alone during the summer was nearly $400 but then in the cooler months it was only $150 or so. Electricity is included with heat and there is no charge for sewage and/or trash. Internet will probably be around $50 and if you wanted cable TV add at least another $50-$100. I can't remember how much the water bill was and in the community I lived in we also had a gas bill which was anywhere from 20-40 usually....So my best guess would be anywhere between $400-$600 but if you split the utilities between 5 people it's really not too much per person.

I have a large 4/2. Cable/phone/internet is 140. OUC (water and electric) runs up to 550 during the summer (but I have a piece of crap AC unit) and stays about 250-275 the other half of the year.
