^I don't. Not to sound bitter, but Shaq doesn't deserve to be the GM. Had he stayed and won 4+ rings here, then his jersey would be in the rafters and his image in bronze outside the Amway already so the idea of him as GM might feel a little better.

Shaq leaving the Orlando for LA stung for a long time with Magic fans back in 1996 (I was 6 at the time, but I remember what a big deal it was) but Shaq always did love this city. His decision to leave was simply in the pursuit of rings (does he have one for each finger now or what?) He still owns a home in Orlando doesn't he?

Didn't he also consider running for Orange County Sheriff at one point?

I think considering his experience, and his accomplishments and ambitions as a player, he could do very well for the Magic as a GM if he has the same ambitions to make the Magic into a championship team as he had to earn rings when he was a player.

This could be the best decision the Magic could ever make if they choose to hire him as GM.

But hopefully he wont go off to the Lakers to GM for them in a few years if he is hired here

Denton: Magic Name Hennigan General Manager | THE OFFICIAL SITE OF THE ORLANDO MAGIC

Definitely excited about his pedigree and experience but a little hesitant about the fact that he is young then I am.

I was hoping for Lindsey but this is just as good. Long as it was not Jeff Bower.

Press conference for Hennigan will be 3 PM tomorrow. should be very informative of his intentions with D12, and the direction of this team! We have an exciting summer Magic Fans!!!

Well I got my first look at the new Magic and my initial impression is the Magic are not nearly as bad as advertised. The 2 new centers are not a shadow of Dwight but they are not bad. Together they could combine for 20/20 nights. Big baby seems to have become the neweade. Most impressive to me were the younger guys. Nicholson could be a really good rookie and etwaun Moore is a sparkplug. I don't believe the Magic will make the playoffs this year but they will be a competitive and entertaining product.

This GM from OKC knows what he's doing and he knows how to find players that don't have the names and ego's associated with the big markets. Big Baby has really grown on me with a good personality and bettering preformance on the court too. I still think it will take a few more drafts, a few more smart trades, and lots of work, but I feel the Magic will remain a fairly competitive team during this rebuilding phase.
