we stayed at the ramada maingate west, on irlo bronson mem highway kissimmee fl, rated 3 stars,49.95 a night through Hotwire.com they have indoor and outdoor pool, restaurant, clean rooms, easydrive down a side street to disney attractions.I would rate it 2.5 stars only because its a older hotel, but at least you have a clean room to stay in within walking to alot of restaurants ,stores or you can drive up and down irlo bronson, with all kinds of stuff to do.Another place is comfort inn on the same road close to old town.they are closer to 100 a night but have very clean rooms and a free full breakfast, and old town attractions a walk across the street. hope this helps

Cocoa Key
Nick Hotel
and Liki Tiki are fun hotels. Nick is overpriced for teh quality, but spot on for the entertainment value.

These three hotels are places you stay at because you plan on spending a day or two only hanging out at the hotel.

Seralago Hotel is Kissimmee is a great value (it's where we stay now when we do Orlando), clean and a decent pool. Also free transit to the parks. Typically around the $50/night range.

Before we moved to Orlando we stayed at the Orange Lake Resort. The resort itself is great, reasonable priced 2 bedroom suites with nice kitchen. Huge lazy river, zero entire pool, slides, nice small gym, mini golf, golf, several restaurants on the property, and close to several more on 192. Easy drive to WDW properties, but bit of a drive to Universal or other attractions. Great place to stay if you want a coup,e of "down days" away from the parks.
