I'm desperately looking to get out of my current lease with my roommate who is driving me crazy and into my own, 1 bedroom apartment. I currently live at Legends at Champions Gate and really like it (it's the only place I've lived since moving to Orlando a few months ago) but they don't have any 1 bedrooms available in the foreseeable future.

I spent all weekend checking a few places out (Sundance in Clermont, Victoria park, Bella on 192, Falcon Square in Winter Park, and Integra Meadows on 27). Victoria, Bella, and Integra seemed kind of nice, but when I was looking at reviews online, they were HORRIBLE.

I'm now started to get very discouraged, and am wondering if there are any nice, safe, affordable apartments in the Orlando area.

I'm a young, single, female, so safety is a huge priority for me.

I earn fairly decent money, so my limit would be $950 a month, but would much prefer something under $800.

I work in Celebration and love the nice commute from Champions Gate, but would give it up for a nice and affordable apartment.

Does ANYBODY have any experiences with the apartments above, or have any recommendations for apartments that are nice (both inside, as well as their surrounding neighborhood area), safe, but have 1 bedrooms for under $950? Or even advice about general areas (i.e. I've heard the millenia, winter park, and Dr. Phillips areas are nice as well as safe . . . is this true??)

Thanks so much!! Even the slightest bit of insight will be a huge help!!!!

All apartment complexes have terrible online reviews. It's pretty obvious that everybody is posting fake negative reviews of their competitors. It's unfortunate.

People who had a normal experience, a decent and pleasant experience, living somewhere... those people do not run to online review sites and write about it. They have no motivation to do so. Only pissed off people do such a thing (and most are pissed off because they were evicted or something else happened that was *their* fault). ONLY pay attention to the reviews if a bunch of them complain about the same problem (for example, sound issues, management not fixing things, bug problems). When you get a bunch of different people mentioning the same SPECIFIC problems, it might indicate a real problem.

Check the place out in person, look at the grounds, the cars, the hallways, everything. And then ask a person or two that you see coming out of the building what they think of it.

A friend of mine once told me it's best to visit an apt complex after 5 pm on a weekday, when most people are coming home from work or school to get a good idea of the residents that stay there.

Well said. I hate online ratings. They do apartments little justice. I've only written one bad review but those apartments seriously has issues.

The apartments we live in now are better than any of the reviews that were online. It's only smart to look a place up yourself and go there.
