I've worked at Walt Disney World for five years, the first two years on stage in the Magic Kingdom, and I've never seen a Japanese tour group doing the same-T-shirt-big-group thing. It's mostly Brazilians with a fair number of Argentine groups doing that also, and the occasional group from other South American countries. Sometimes you can tell what country they are from from their T-shirts, sometimes not, but it's a good bet if they are speaking Portuguese they are from Brazil, and they're probably from Argentina if they're speaking Spanish. I don't think I've ever seen a group like that that didn't originate in South America.

For the last three years I've worked at the front desk at the Contemporary and there are a few companies that come in and help Japanese-speaking guests check into the hotel and overcome various other language related obstacles. They also provide tour guides to help the Japanese tourists get around, but usually in small one-couple or one-family groups. All of the guides I have seen working for these companies are native Japanese who speak English, but I would assume that a native English speaker who is fluent in Japanese would be acceptable for them.

The only thing Japanese I care about is where I get my sushi from and if a chick is hot and she happens to be a Japo

this probably won't be very helpful but I saw japanese and instantly thought kobe's. Have you ever eaten there? Many restaurants throughout orlando and has a very japanese feel to it inside with japanese people cooking your foood. The white sauce is so yummy

Not to take the thread further off topic but if you like Kobe you should try Japan Express in Winter Park if you're just craving Kobe but don't have the time or money. It's literally the exact same food for half the price, white sauce and everything. I'm fairly certain a former Kobe chef just opened up his own take out version Kobe but instead of using a Habachi table, he uses a line cook flat top. The food tastes the same to me but I can run in, grab it for take out, at half the price. No Kobe experience, but if it's just a craving for the food I definitely recommend this place.

Disney is very strict about tour guides. All of their tour guides work for guest relations and to work for guest relations you have to work for the company for at least six months before applying.

The big groups are from Latin America- probably 90% from Brazil. Even those tour guides from an outside company have to go through some type of class or something for Disney to allow them to lead groups.

Your best bet would be to check into something like Harry was mentioning.
