Are there any quiet neighborhoods or communities near the orlando Airport that do not cost a fortune? All I am familiar with is Semoran, Curryford, Goldenrod and they seem to be too busy.

Lake Nona is currently quiet and a good bet.

Hope this helps,

Affordable is subjective. if you mean under 100k then Southport, the old officers housing might be a good choice. If you are good to 150k then some parts of Lee Vista open up. If you can make it to the 200's then Lake Nona will also Open up. That gives you an idea of the areas near the airport.

I recently purchased a home in Southport that I am currently cleaning and painting for renting as I live in Chicago. I spent 2 years looking and was happy with the Southport area. It's an older area but it has a beautiful park that has everything you could need. I've never had any issues with airport noise even though I'm 5 minutes from MCO. The houses are very nicely maintained as the HOA takes care of that. I was very impressed with Ginger Mill and Pepper Mill but recently read on here that the area has the most sex offenders. I know you can't get around that but I wouldn't want an area that is loaded with them!
