I like rural areas as well, and enjoy making the trek to visit friends who live in the country - but make no mistake about it - most of the areas people are moving to on the fringe are not rural or won't be soon. There's too much political will against slowing down growth no matter how poorly planned it is. "Citrus Tower" is now affectionally called "Shingle Tower" in Lake County and what used to be a quick drive from UCF to the Oviedo Marketplace when I attended UCF is no longer a short trip without a toll road and for that matter the Oviedo Marketplace isn't even an appealing destination.

I usually recommend moving north and south of Orlando along I-4. Beltways are for the birds.
^Sums it up nicely.

Oveido has nice wooden city limit signs with colorful roosters on them.

Thats about all I can say for the generic town that borders the horrible UCF area.

I'm glad you have so much helpful information to offer. Maybe you should consider spending your time finding a job where you'd be happier if you hate it here that much.
