I grew up in New Orleans so I'm familiar with the need for regular pest control in the south, and we live in the country which means all sorts of extra buggies beyond the usual cockroaches and palmetto bugs.

While I start shopping for an exterminator, I wanted an idea of what the norm is that people pay for regular service. I want to avoid the termite ripoff schemes that are thousands of dollars, our house is all poured cement anyways!

Who do you use, do you like them, and what do you pay?

TIA
~ Amanda

We have Terminix for about the same, but I think the initial inspection and really good spraying of the inside, outside etc which took almost 2 hours was a set fee first and the $99 is the maintenance. They spray the outside and only come in if you have a report of bugs inside so you do not have to be home. Have not had to have them come back inside since the initial spraying.

+1 for Terminix. I've had great results with their service (a random water bug) and have quarterly service just on the outside.
