I found something interesting while looking through projects on Kickstarter. I am not sure what this says about Orlando, but it has the highest number of active Kickstarter projects by far among the major cities in Florida. Perhaps Orlando is the most tech-savvy? youngest? most creative?

Jacksonville - 58
Tampa - 126
Miami - 158
Orlando - 245

I've said it before, I"ll say it again. Orlando has a thriving organic arts and music scene. We've got a couple of world-class many multi-platinum producers who have taken up residence here and are recording bands here. We have original music of all genres being written and performed. We have a plethera of amazing visual artists. We have a thriving original comedy scene.

I've spent time in all of Florida's major metros and I still feel Orlando is the most complete and well rounded. Yes Miami is truly a much bigger city and you can feel that in the pace/energy of it, but I found it lacking in other areas where Orlando excelled.
