Quick question for a family member-

They now have residence (work / place to live) in FL, and plan to turn in their AZ Driver's License for a FL one.
It appears they still need multiple proofs of identity and residence- that's no issue.

How long does the process take?
If you arrive at the DMV when it opens are you first in, first out (i.e. can this paperwork be done in an hour)
Are licenses printed on the spot, and old ones taken away?

Is the East Colonial location (11764 E Colonial Dr, Orlando, FL 32817) that opens at 8AM able to do this kind of service? He works at 9AM so it's kind of tough to get good DMV hours...

here's hoping.
Any insight would be appreciated.

Schedule an appointment or it could take hours and hours. Appointments go first so stand by line moves really slowly. Even with an appointment he might not get through so he can get to work on time. Definitely make sure to bring in all the proofs required, people are always complaining here because they have to go back a 2nd time-especially women who have to bring in their proof of name change(wedding license/divorce paper etc)

Make an appointment and it's a 30 minute process. Bring all the proofs plus some.

Looks like I can't make online appointments with the Orange County DMVs... but I can with the Seminole Tax Collector offices who do licensing as well. Some happen to be closer to me anyway (Cassleberry)

Do all these places print licenses on the spot?
