We are looking for an "Avalon Park" area within 20 minutes of the Disney area. Basics: 2 story, community pool(s), newer (2000+), $350-400,000, family oriented, SAFE, AWESOME schools (elem/middle).

Does anyone have suggestions of developments? Celebration is over our budget.

Does anyone have knowledge about Independence? I can't find any photos of that area.

Independence is a fairly new community and would probably fit your criteria. They are still building there and you could probably get something in that price range from them. Also Summerport might be an option. It is fairly close to Independence but has been pretty much built up. Not sure what the prices are in there. They are both in the city of Windermere for housing searches and are probably about 15-ish minutes from the back entrance of Disney.

StoneyBrook West has alot of the features you listed...it just doesn't have a town center like area like avalon park. It would be on the far end of your 20 minute drive range, but still within it.

P.S. You have Direct Message that I think will help you get a general idea of what's available in the Disney area.

Default a location

Tigger you may be surprised about Celebration, I searched the area a couple days ago and found homes starting at 319k. They range from 1400 sq ft to over 1900 and are very nice. Yhere are presently 9 under 400k and the 10'th is at 409k. Stoneybrook West I think is a bit of a drive if compared to celebration. I would think Hunters Creek may be a good choice. It has many options below 400k.
