Yeah, I've seen a bunch of them near the parking lot at Disney Magic Kingdom, too.

I think the stork is probably the coolest one. I sometimes see a group of them walking on my block.

I've seen some big ones flying and making loud noises. Not sure what kind they were.

I've seen a bunch of vultures taking care of deer roadkill. Thought it was odd that they'd just leave roadkill there but I guess the birds have to eat.

I saw a group of wild turkeys in front of an office building close to where to live. Matter of fact, they were in front of an attorney's office...and there were vultures on the roof. I felt like someone was setting up a bad lawyer joke.

But anyway, it seemed like it would be easy as hell to catch of those things. So naturally I got to thinking, 'how hard would it be to kill and clean a turkey?' So I fired up the old google machine and found this. And then I decided to leave it to the professionals.

Snowbird. A snowbird can weigh up to several hundred pounds. Also can be pretty obnoxious sometimes.

Tricon, just curious why you didn't just resurrect your old thread about this so whomever wanted to could just add to it?

Wow, you really research things, don't you? I wasn't sure if I had posted the topic or not. IMHO, better answers this time around.

I also see wild turkeys off Hwy. 434 going toward Black Hammock. Lots of pastures and fields out that way for them to wander in. I have a pair of swallow-tailed kites that fly over my neighborhood, too. Always fun to see, especially with their unique tail feathers.

LOL, I wasn't trying to check up on you, but I remembered the topic because I had posted on the previous one. But you're right, more people have been contributing this time. (=

I've seen a few Peacocks, I don't think you can get any more exotic. Apparently though, they're considered an invasive species.

Some might have been pets or on the farm etc, but there are neighborhoods here where they just roam free in the street and everyone's yards. They can be irritating but make good watch dogs. They can be very noisy when they see people . Some friends used to have some that roosted in the trees at the end of their drive and every time someone came in they made lots of noise.
