As others have mentioned, Party 95.3 was extremely popular and successful. It seems when places like ICON shuttered and DT lost the rave scene, it didn't take long for the station and other remnants of those days to disappear.

We had the one of the best radio line-ups in the country when Jamz and Party were on. Now that XM is around, you can get whatever music that you are into.

I haven't used FM radio regularly in years since Pandora and similar services came around. I can tailor my exactly listening preferences and get a much better mix. Sure, you aren't on the bleeding edge and a really good DJ is better, but even when I had Sirius I was disappointed by the electronic offerings.

You could probably find a station like that on the Internet. There are all kinds of "niche" stations on the Internet.

YUP! Party 95.3 used to be perfect, a good mix of techno and dance. But before that they were Hip hop, so really they just switched back. Shame, they lost me after that.
