Can someone please tell me what the names of the master planned communities are in Lake Nona area? The only ones I can find info on are Village Walk and Eagle Creek. Do they all share amenities? Do all have the YMCA covered in the HOA fees? Also, which ones are more kid friendly and safe? Will there be new schools built in the communities? Do most people who live in Lake Nona work there as well? Do most of the communities offer social activities for kids and adults? Does anyone live there currently and can help with questions? I greatly appreciate it, thank you!

Have you looked at Lake Nona

The communities that are officially apart of the Lake Nona development are:

Village Walk
North Lake Park
Laureate Park
Waters Edge Park
Lake Nona Apartments
Lake Nona Golf & Country Club

Eagle Creek is located in the Lake Nona area, but is not a part of the Lake Nona Development. What does that mean? I don't know if it will have any significance down the road, 10, 20 years from now.

We are building a home in Laureate Park, and as far I know I can only use the amenities center (pool/gym) in Laureate Park. YMCA is not included in my HOA fees. There is a plan for an elementary school in Laureate Park, but it is not scheduled to open until 2016-2018, so they could potentially change their mind and not build it.

To me it seems each subdivision is its own neighborhood and separate from each other. They are beind developed under the Lake Nona brand, but I don't see or have been told of any type of sharing/togetherness between the different subdivisions.

Example, Laureate Park has fiber to the home services - with internet speed up to 1Gbps up/down offered through Dias Technologies, but I think Waters Edge is serviced by Bright House Cable.

Speaking of Dais Technolgies cable internet, does anyone have first hand comments on how it's going for them?
