Any opinions regarding College Park? Good parts, bad parts?

College park is quite nice. Great little community with older homes and communities. The towncenter is real nice with tons of great restaurants. A friend of mine just moved there a few months ago and loves it there so far. We go to an improv comedy night walking distance from his house every week. And about 2 weeks ago they had a "jazz" festival where they shut down the main street at night and everybody (a few hundred people) came out with drinks and food to enjoy the music.

If you are considering college park you may also consider Winter Park

College Park is much better than Baldwin Park because it has some old homes and big trees. I would never live West of I-4 because of the 15 mile crime wave that occassionally rears it's ugly head in college park because of it's proximety just East of the HOOD.

much better than baldwin and its a real neighborhood(no cooke cutters here). best neighborhood in orlando city limits by far hence why the mayor lives here. the only murder last yr in cp was a love triangle but all the major businesses on edgewater have all been robbed at some point in time. no home break ins though. lots of rentals been popping up lately but lots of 500k+ houses too.

College Park is a great area! Nice locally owned shops and eateries. It's also one of the few areas within Orlando proper that has a lot of foot traffic.

Ghetto wise previous posters are correct, the silver star road, john young parkway ghetto areas are not far from this neighborhood.
