With a governor like ours, are you really surprised? He made his fortune stealing from Medicare, and now wants to deny the people health care. Let's make him a 1 term gov.

Not surprising given the amount of part-time service sector jobs which are leading "growth" in the state and keeping the unemployment rate at artificially low numbers.

Ends up leading to lower healthcare costs though for those with insurance interestingly, although fl seems to have higher costs than tx

Health-Care Costs: A State-by-State Comparison - WSJ.com

States like MA have the highest costs in the country, despite covering everyone and likely having a healthier population than tx or fl..... Hmmmmm

Not surprising given Massachusett's higher cost of living which is offset by it's much higher levels of income and proportionate taxation, not to mention the fact they cover everyone. It's easy for Florida to run low costs when 25% of the state's population isn't covered by any insurance, another 20% are on Medicare and 15% are on Medicaid.

Low wage state with few high paying jobs. The huge influx of illegals have kept wages low and once they get their green cards this situation won't improve.
