Decent places in DeLand are not cheap, and it's an hour drive to Orlando from most of those places. I agree that the OP is more likely to find a place in those cities, though, than in Orlando.

Ive put all of those areas and none of them popped up with any apartment complexes besides like one or two and they were more than what im paying now.

Im really leaning towards lake Mary. Seems to be at the center of Oviedo and orlando and easy to commute to Oviedo and orlando in case of jobs. What do you guys think? Apartments are in my price range, too. What do you guys think? Is Lake Mary and Oviedo really okay compared to Fords, here? That was my initial question, i just dont want to to get stuck and have to waste more money to move back or something.

I don't understand the "compared to Fords here" part, but there's nothing whatsoever wrong with Lake Mary. Some areas are better than others, though, so you should check out the neighborhoods before deciding on a complex. You are more likely to find a job in Lake Mary (or Orlando) than in Oviedo.

If you're super worried about commuting, look near the SunRail station. It will be up and running soon and might be helpful if you can get close enough. I'm not sure what the station is like (or where exactly it is located) in Lake Mary.

I just mean if there is anything in Central florida similar. If it werent for the prices and having family in Florida, I would never leave.

I am not really worried about commuting, though. I am just worried about safety. I like driving, and the "traffic" is nothing like what I experience here in Jersey so it doesnt bother too much being around 45 minutes away.

But thank you for your help. Lake Mary seems to be one step ahead in terms of jobs. I did see that on West Lake Mary Ave have plenty of opportunities.

So far, though, I got two job offers in Altamonte Springs, but I still dont mind the drive between areas.

Try St. Cloud. Good school, great area, and I think you will like small town...with Turnpike to get you 20 mins to everywhere.

Rent is not what you wanted though. I find it tough to find the rent amount you requested unless you rent an apartment.

Jobs in the area are not good either. You have to be self-employed by 5 years to really make ends meet. But, I leave my doors unlocked, and neighbors are great. Kids love it here, and they can run all day. Also, there are great local haunts to go to. A superb meat market, and several places to just relax if you can. Good fishing, and more.

Thank you! I will be sure to check that area out when i go to florida.

I actually just got two job offers, one for a transfer at walmart at 9.10 full time hours and full time hours at best buy so i will be weighing out my options. I actually took an apartment in east altamonte springs because it was in my price range. (680 for a 2 bedroom). The area seems okay, and im sacrificing some safety by taking this Apartment but its all to save up extra money for a house or - a better renting experience.

I really appreciate all of everyones help and will still be taking suggestions of places to look at.

Now i just got to figure out what cable to get and a good electric and gas company. @____@ decisions.. Decisions...
