Thank you for your detailed answer!
In the newer part off 535, probably. In the old part, most likely not.

My hubby has worked at that plant for 5 years and we live in Hunters Creek. The commute is easy, in the morning he gets to work in 15 minutes, coming home about 1/2 hour. Right now the housing market is slim so there aren't that many houses available here but if you're willing to wait then you'll find something.

Are you doing a relo with the company? We did and they put us up in a hotel for 5 months while we looked for a house. If they're not, you can find plenty of short term rentals here until you find something. We did that after the hotel until we closed on our house.

If you have children, you need to look at www.schooldigger.com and check out the areas by school rating. The schools that Hunters Creek are zoned for are really good and there is a new charter school here too. My kids go to it and I love it!

Let me know if you have any questions about either Hunters Creek or LM

Awesome thank you! Yes they're giving us a really good relocation package and will provide us with corporate housing/hotel room for a few month until we also sell our home here in IL.

Maybe we should chat on PM!!

As I said in an earlier post, we want a "newer" home and move in ready, we don't have the budge to keep reparing the house. We had a bad experience with an older home here and we don't necessarily wanna repeat that mistake.

Just do research on the builders in the neighborhoods you look to buy in. The new housing is sometimes meant to be cheap and quick to build, not always high quality.

Junita, I don't know why a few people said that they would not recommend Hunter's Creek. I have worked and am working right now with the clients that go with Hunter's Creek if they cannot afford Dr Phillips, and, considering the commute times, it is your best option, IMO. Please, don't be scared away by the remarks that advise you Winter Garden (I wonder if people who recommend it have ever tried to drive from Winter Garden to LM and how long it took them).

Please, let me know if I can be of your help. There are some very nice newer homes at affordable prices available.

~Natasha~

Our realtor that we only spoke with on the phone, keeps sending us properties in Avalon Park, it's kinda far from my husband's work, but otherwise, how is it like? I never heard of it before.

We are considering Windermere, Doctor Philips and the area around Lake Nona, we can't afford Lake Nona obviously, but if you know a more afforable area around it, please do let us know! Looks like we will buy an older home that needs some fixing up, but really now our focus is to be in a safe neighborhood, good schools, good hospital.

We aren't interested in Hunter's Creek after lots of research.

Actually, right now, there are a few properties in your price range available in DP. However, they are 1980-1990's. If you are interested, let me know, and i will be able to help you out. The slowing of the season due to the holidays and people leaving out of town also helps the negotiation process.
