When I went there it was still a two hour wait just to get in the Harry Potter section of IOA, so we didn't bother. Since we have the passes we're gonna try to go again in September, right after labor day weekend, which is when most schools around the US start. Hopefully it won't be too crowded then.

Does anyone have any opinions on swimming at Rock Springs vs. Blue Springs? Which one is better/more fun/prettier? I just went to Rock Springs yesterday and loved it, but I'm wondering if Blue Springs is worth checking out.

I was an Apopkan for a short while. I lived in the Clarcona area. It was nice, it was more rural back then though. I went to Clarcona Elementary from 2000-2001

Okay...so here goes...I am torn between 2 extremes! I don't like really HOT weather nor do I like really COLD. My hubby and I have been thinking about where we want to retire. We currently live in NJ and want out. Do we go north or south. He likes to golf and fish...I'm happy doing most anything once I get to know an area. We have vacationed in Maine and like it there but the summers are short and winters are lllooooooooooooooooooooong. I know it's God awful hot in Florida, but there's always air conditioning. The thing is we would be moving together with our daughter, son-in-law and 2 kids. We need good schools...probably looking in the $700K range. Any suggestions on good neighborhoods, with really good schools K-12? Not really looking for that cookie cutter neighborhood where every house looks the same. Help?

Winter Park. People will suggest Lake Mary, Windermere and Doctor Phillips as well, but in my opinion these neighborhooods are full of cookie cutter homes in gated communities.

Some of Windermere is cookie-cutter, but around the downtown area the homes aren't even in neighborhoods and are absolutely beautiful and surrounded by mature oaks.

With $700k, you have a lot of options! I would look at Winter Park, Dr. Phillips, Lake Mary and Windermere because all are great areas and you never know where that perfect house might be.

Anybody here a fan of the UFL and Orlando's Florida Tuskers team - and disappointed that it recently folded?
