Budweiser Super Bowl ad in Winter Park: a stunner - Orlando Sentinel

Great welcome home for Winter Park soldier that will air as a Budweiser ad during superbowl. Thank you Lt. Nadd. Kind of weird though how they made Winter Park look like a small town when it's more of an affluent city suburb.

Yeah the rural shots of him driving home and then bam you're on Park Ave lol. I'm sure some old time Winter Parkers remember when it was more that way though.

the rural areas? lol. theres like one 2-second clip of a rural area. maybe theyre not in winter park when theyre showing that. probably makes the most sense.

i was just in winter park this afternoon. as always, park ave and a few surrounding streets are nice, but aside from that, i never really thought if it as upscale or affluent like mentioned above.

Reminds me of Identity Thief. I thought it was kind of cool that Melissa McCarthy's character was from "Winter Park". But you could tell by the scenery that they didn't shoot there, or anywhere near Orlando for that matter. It looked more like South FL.

^^^
No... South FL? Check out the topography. It's not in FL at all. Look at the tall, pretty trees along the highway and the hills... Most of it was filmed in the Atlanta area.

And I stand corrected too, heard on the radio today that it was Hannibal Square and not Park Ave.

Com I respect you as one of the more knowledgeable posters but Winter Park not affluent? Are you serious? That area is one of the most expensive areas in the state. All the homes even remotely close to the lakes run near a million.

Actually most of it was shot in Winter Park, just about the entire Parade scenes were. The airport was probably Sanford International and the rural scenes could have been Oviedo. I didn't mean to imply it wasn't shot here but that the portrayal was inaccurate.

Yeah go back behind Park Ave and drive down Palmer and all the side streets around Lake Maitland and Lake Osceola, then south of Fairbanks around Lakes Virginia, Sue, Rowena, Estelle...there are too many beautiful homes to count!
