Can anyone recommend a good facility in the Orlando/Maitland/Winter park area for rehab for a 94 year old with balance problems (health rehab not drug/alcohol rehab)

How do I go about looking at reviews of these places?

Thanks in advance

It's not a pleasant undertaking I know from experience. The Medicare Ratings
Medicare.gov Nursing Home Compare are probably the best tool but not foolproof. Furthermore just because you find a place you like doesn't mean you're instantly set. Most of the better facilities have waiting lists so you may have to "settle" if it's a situation that can't wait. Most likely you're going to have to expand your geographic boundaries a bit to the surrounding area as well. Just in care you were not aware rehabilitation facilities have a 90 day-limitation with Medicare and beyond that it becomes a long-term care situation which no longer entails Medicare benefits (in other words out-of-pocket unless you have a very rare long-term care insurance policy to utilize). Long-term care costs a few thousand dollars per month unless the person no longer has any funding/assets remaining after which point qualification for Medicaid takes over. It's wise if not already to have remaining assets placed in a trust or disbursed to inheritors so as to not be financially bled dry before Medicaid kicks in.
