Been offered a job in lake county. Thinking about living in Clermont. I have read here on the forums that it is rough to get to other parts of Orlando unless you take toll roads.

Is it pretty tough getting to other parts of orlando without taking a toll road from Clermont

Only way Rt#50 or RT#192 RT 27 to I-4 I live closer to Davenport and have to drive to the airport, takes me minimum 1 hr and rain or traffic jams 2hr and now when school starts and snow birds arrive- be worse. I first paid tolls except it was about $100 a mo plus gas with stop n go all the way. Depending where you live, count the costs, a job is a job, and I moved to Orl for a great job, but family lived in Clermont n will stay there until spring. 6 mo more to go,, whew!

With SunPass the tolls are no big deal.

Where would you be working, and what part of Clermont are you looking in? A little more info would get you a lot more answer.

The above poster lives in 34714 which has a Clermont mailing address but isn't within the City limits of Clermont. It's a drive from anything but Disney. She complains constantly about costs, but hasn't bothered to move. From most of 34711 you can be in downtown Orlando in 35 minutes, even during rush hour.

I would be working in Leesburg. Not sure where in Clermont I would be living yet. Just know in 34711 like you always recommend. I don't think I will have any tolls on my daily commute, but will I have to take toll roads to get elsewhere in Orlando?

I am from an area that does not have tolls, so I guess it is just something you have to get used to. How much of a discount do you get with SunPass?

Some are honest and diligent in maintaining good credit and in keeping agreements such as leases, so if you have the time to drive around do your homework first. I did not have the luxury of time when I came. Basically moved in 4 weeks and was sent to training for 2. Here is a link as you did not say where to and from, I have a Sunpass and still was costing me about $80 to $90 a mo plus gas at 32 miles each way... can be pricey-

No toll roads to Leesburg. The reality is that there is little in Orlando that you can't find right in Clermont and Winter Garden where you wouldn't need tolls to get there. The discount varies, not sure exactly. If I take out my work related trips, I probably spend $15 a month in tolls.

Doesn't turnpike have a Leesburg exit?
Anyway, if you'll be working in Leesburg, why are you moving to Clermont?
My wife works in Leesburg/Fruitland Park area, I work in Orlando. We live in Mt Dora. Leesburg is an easy drive up 441, and Orlando is easily accessible via 429/408.

Nobody takes the Turnpike from Clermont to Leesburg when you can take 27 and be there faster and with no tolls.
