LMFAO!!! Even if Spanish wasn't your first language you would be fine here! They're tons of Hispanics here, and I mean tons, but most can speak English, and the majority of the people here are still English speakers. Like many have said crime here is very overated! I used to live in the worst part of Orlando, it was so bad that one night I was in the living room with my Family, and a car rolled up and did a drive bye killing my neighbor. Personally while living there never had one problem with anyone, or anything! I would recommend Metrowest as a place to look, its still really nice over there, everything is convenient! Many will tell you not to do it, but crime over there has been really rare lately, and I doubt once you get into the neighborhood that you'd feel unsafe. Good Luck, and welcome to Orlando!

Thank guys i appreciate it, i am hispanic... but to be honest i want to stay away from my own, unless they are educated. I grew up pretty old school, and any hispanic will tell you that growing up like that is strict, you speak if.you are spoken to, when grownups are talking dont even dare to talk, please thank you im sorry where common frases in my home, i went to college. Is not that i consider my self above the rest.is just that there are educated prople in general and i woukd prefer to be around them.

I was looking a some gated communities in metro west williamsburg, and woukd LOVE to find one within my budget in Dr. Phillips. I first need a 1/1 then 6 months later my girl and her son will come down,so need that flexibility of changing apartments in mid lease.

Been thinking of calling a realtor to see if they offer that service of searching for and apartment

Agree. Metrowest is not a particularly desirable area.

The biggest problem is the six month lease--that's going to cost you. Some areas won't allow anything under seven months by ordinance.

MetroWest is one of those hit or miss areas. I believe a lot of the trouble happens in areas off Kirkman, Raleigh, Metrowest Blvd, and the areas around the intersection of Hiawassee and Old Winter Garden (and I believe many of those areas aren't technically MetroWest, but Orlo Vista). Old Winter Garden tends to be the ugliest and dull road.

But it also depends on the subdivisions or apartments plus some areas actually look really nice. Some areas have pretty good landscaping, a lot of trees, rolling hills surrounding lakes (which is a neat feature seeing as how Orlando, or just Florida in general, is mostly flat), cool looking apartment buildings, etc. There also seems to be some luxury condos off Hiawassee by the Metrowest golf course. They look real nice and affluent.

I guess the rule of thumb is that areas closer to the Florida Turnpike and pass the golf club are better than areas off Kirkman, Metrowest Blvd, Raleigh and Orlo Vista.
