Bay Hill isn't gated or guarded. I agree that it's a beautiful and safe community, but it might lack the feel of exclusivity that the OP is seeking.

There are gated communities within Bay Hill that you would never know were there unless you happened upon them.

I think the "hoopla" during a tournament is worth paying extra for personally - but I am a golf junkie! Isleworth also getting Tiger's end of year tournament now. I guess it would boil down to what is more visually appealing to me between the two and which has better schools in the area

They're basically right down the road from each other (probably 5 minutes from entrance to entrance), but Bay Hill is zoned for Dr. Phillips schools and Isleworth is zoned for Windermere. You can't really go wrong with either.

Which one do you believe would have more young children?

Also any idea about the noise of planes at Lake Nona Country Club?

The sound of planes in the Lake Nona area is not as loud as one may assume. Tavistock has done a great job of protecting the greenery in the area, which muffles the planes. We have been to many football games at the high school, which is a few miles from the Country Club, and yes you can see the planes taking off in the horizon but it's not loud at all.
Lake Nona has a sense of community like no other I have found since living in Orlando for 20 years. We have lived here for three years and love the area. My husband works for Disney and although the commute is 30 minutes, to him it's worth having the kids in the best public schools in Orange County. Our children are in elementary, middle, and high school. I sell real estate in the Lake Nona area and am very familiar with the offerings of local builders and communities as well. For golf, Eagle Creek, Lake Nona Country Club, and North Shore all feature gated communities. In terms of exclusivity, Lake Nona Golf & Country Club would be my recommendation.
For children, the extracurricular activities are in close proximity. A ballet academy is coming soon, the US Tennis Association is building their home base here, and there is gymnastics, karate, dance, a YMCA..... I could go on and on.

If you need any more help, please don't hesitate to ask.
