I don't mind it when my roommate has friends over and whatnot, but she gave the key to this lady I do NOT know and she is now living here, even when my roommate isn't here. I find it absolutely insensitive and ridiculous that she did this and her friend sleeping in her bedroom is now acting like she lives here permanently and has her stuff everywhere. I confronted my roommate and she said the lady would only stay here for a few days but it's been over a week now and my roommate keeps dragging it out. I cannot lock my room door when I leave the apartment and I also have my belongings in the living room area and whatnot.

Would I be able to go to the landlord and have them kick that lady out? My roommate is never home anymore and I'm tired of her ignoring my calls/texts. Also tired of seeing a random stranger coming in and out of my place, of which I pay half the rent for. What can I do?

Most leases state that once a guest stays for more than x days (usually 7-14 from what I've signed in the last 8 years), then they need to be on the lease, or they need to leave. The landlord should be able to handle this.
