Hi,

I am moving to Orlando, FL in about 2 months. I am looking for a good elementary school for my two sons. I am looking at the Seminole County schools. Does anyone know about Evans Elementary or Keith Elem.? Any other suggestions? I am probably going to rent before I buy a home?

Thanks,
Winston

Thanks, rholborn

I would like to know if there is any law in FL about breaking rental lease to purchase home.
In other words, can I break a lease if I decide to purchase a home before my lease expires?
It will determine whether I rent a house or rent an apartment. Most apartments have flexible lease options and the houses have a least one year lease terms.

A friend teaches at Evans - he's a good guy and seems eager to stay there after having to do his teaching rotation at a bunch of other schools in the area during his senior year at UCF.

I don't know about specific Florida law, but the few apartments I've lived in here had NO provisions for breaking leases, and many of them will not let you sub-lease your apartment to someone else if you want to move out. I've known a few people work out some agreements with the complex (usually a payout in the form of 3-6 months of the remaining amount of lease) to get out of a lease. If you want to have that option open, make sure you get it in writing at the time you're moving in - apartments around here are desperate to hang on to renters once they're locked into a lease..

I am a teacher in Seminole County. Both of those schools are excellent! All of the elementary schools in the Oviedo area are A rated.

Another elementary school in the Oviedo / Winter Springs area is Rainbow Elementary and it is an A rated, excellent school also. My two sons attend there and it is a very warm environment ans we are very happy there.
