We just moved to Longwood from the north this past summer, so we have not gotten to experience the Florida seasons yet. My questions are (generally speaking, not relatively):

Which are the coldest months, and how cold is cold?
Which are the most beautiful months weather-wise?

Thanks!

Coldest months are late December to March. 50/60's. There will be cold streaks in between that take us into near freezing temps for usually a couple weeks.

Most Beautiful months are the ones before and after. November will be in 70's during day with lows in the 50's, later March to April about the same.

BTW this Saturday is supposed to be really nice. I would recommend going out to Fall Fiesta at Lake Eola downtown Orlando as it may actually feel like fall this weekend. Welcome to Orlando, Longwood is a great area.

Thanks for the reply! I am really looking forward to this weather, every day feels so nice here. I am so thankful to be able to enjoy the sunshine!

And yes, Saturday does sound like a perfect Fall-ish day to be at the Fall Fiesta!

Just some unsolicited advice, if you ever really REALLY miss the northern temps, you can pack up the family and head only a couple hours north for the weekend where the temps are about 10 degrees cooler than here. There are rentals or camping along the Itcheetucknee River or Ocala National Forest where you wake up in the woods and its in the 40s. Or even just head out to Lake County at a B&B in Mt. Dora or Tavares.

This is only my second year, but I will say you will get some cool temps in the winter. Last yr, the day after Thanksgiving was cold. Woke up and it was high 30's outside and I had to put the heat on. But the winter months are fantastic.
Welcome and enjoy.
