Hi all,

Within a few months, we'll be looking to sell our home and purchase another. We are currently in Minneola and will be looking to stay in this general area when purchasing the next house (i.e. Minneola, Clermont, Groveland, etc.). We have had some very bad experiences with realtors in this area, and were hoping for some recommendations. If you've used anyone that did a fantastic job, please leave me their info!

Also, has anyone sold their house by owner? We are considering doing that to save ourselves the commission fees, but it seems like it might be a major hassle. Any feedback/tips/advice would be appreciated

I think that in this market you'd be better off using a Realtor to list and sell your home.

As someone who was recently in the market to buy a home, there were a couple houses that I didn't even bother to tour when I saw they were for sale by owner. There's just too much possibility of weirdness in the paperwork for my comfort.

Interesting — never thought about that. Thanks for the feedback. Did you like the realtor you used?

We ended up buying new construction, and so we're going without a realtor (fingers crossed). When we were looking around at houses for sale, we were working with Laura Crawford of Premier Realty Partners, and she was wonderfully helpful answering our questions and walking us through some of the paperwork to put an offer on a property.

Thanks for the help, and I hope everything goes smoothly with the sale
