Hundreds of millions of dollars to transport a few thousand people a month, yea, success.

Also, they "almost" met there goal, goodness, they set the goal so stupidly low in order to one day make the headlines that they met their goal.

Wouldn't say Epic Succes but good job for SunRail. Sand Lake Station is ALWAYS packed.

SunRail should have been a Light Rail that connected downtown to the tourist area.

How do you build a commuter rail but don't target the main people who commute ? lol. People on I-4 are not giving up their cars .

I like SunRail but it needs connextions.

Well considering last year there were 0 passengers, then yes.. it's a boom.
However the numbers are worse than expected, which was already incredibly low.

You're 100% wrong, and boosting something you clearly know very little about.

No, he's not. This is a success, despite the naysayers. And when the Ultimate I-4 transformation is in full swing, the ridership will skyrocket.

In the meantime, TOD's are proposed/under development at almost every station. SunRail will reshape the urban core in a positive way, and for those paying attention it's already happening.

Skyrocket? How? If one really thinks that Central Florida commuters are willing to either take a bus to a station from home/nearby, or drive to a station that it isn't especially convenient from home, deboard a train likely not close to work and take another bus to their destination with let's not forget a fair bit of walking involved (in work attire, during our seven month summer) in order to save 15-20 minutes of additional driving time...you're completely delusional.

Cite the success.
All studies, ridership facts, and DOT data claims Sunrail is unsuccessful.
You have only anecdotal evidence.

Yes, development is going down at each station. However RIDERSHIP is not.
This was public transit, not publicly funded real estate development for others.

Two completely different systems with different purposes. Phase 2 is this.

Yeah, I was definitely confused when I first heard about SunRail and saw that it had limited runs. A light rail would have been perfect. But we're stuck with what we got, and it's not so bad.

People talking crazyness like 0 passengersand thinking the maglev ispart of phase 2 lol but yet I, a 3 to 4 times per week SunRail rider doesn't know what they're talking about, yeah ok.

I bet most of these critics have never even been on it. They are content with narrow mindedness and after 1 year are ready to close up shop. Yet I'm the one who's off base for creating a thread to be an alternate to the negative one with outdated data.
