It doesnt seem like the people of Parramore want this Stadium in their community. Being that it is a poor community are they being bullied and pushed out?

What is the overall feeling about the MLS staduim from the locals?
The stadium did not push anyone out of their homes. It was built on empty land and former businesses or warehouses which were bought out with no resistance. Only the church resisted and didn't take an offer worth double their value, and the city decided not to pursue eminent domain against them. Instead, they moved the site just to the west of the church and bulldozed Parramore Ave so it could include the land on the other side of the street. Here is what the site looked like before construction started:

The stadium site borders Glenn Ln to the west, Central to the north, the little white church to the east, and Church St to the south.

I can pretty much guarantee you that most of Parramore is soon to be gentrified.
It started off with the new Amway complex. Then, the condos on Church St. Now this stadium. Soon, a rather large UCF campus.
People are maybe not being told to leave their homes, but I assure you the city will take every effort to revamp the area and push them out. That entire side of Orlando is turning into a massive entertainment venue.

Unfortunately, most of the residents of Parramore do not own their homes. Most of the homes are owned by slumlords so the residents really wouldn't have much say in the matter.

I am not in favor of kicking anyone out of their home. If it's their house and they don't want to sell it, too bad, you can't take it. That's how it ought to work. That's fair.

I don't give a hoot about soccer, but even if it was something I wanted (like baseball), I still wouldn't want anyone's home taken from them. That's just wrong.

I don't personally know anyone who cares about (or pays any attention at all to) soccer except for one woman who is a British expat and even she is rather ho-hum over a stadium. She does believe that some people in the world really like soccer and think of it as a serious sport. We have all seen this on TV. There are people who actually like soccer. Whether there are enough of them here...

Time will tell on soccer.

I'm sure Camping World Stadium will be rocking hard this weekend. I'm expecting Playoff crowds and excitement. Anyone here attending Saturday's game?

Who's home is being taken by the soccer stadium? Please read my post above and take a look at the map.

There are more than enough people living here that are into soccer, and at this point I don't see how that can even be questioned. 35K average per game is all you need to know.

This coupled with the ever increasing interest in youth soccer development camps ought to be enough of an indicator.

Also, those who will eventually move are not homeowners; they are renters or section 8 recipients who will see the value of their properties skyrocket, and as such will no longer be able to afford rent. It's what happens when a city's core goes through major development. We're getting new entertainment venues, new college campuses, new parks and recreation sites... If Parramore residents want to remain, they'll need to foot the bill.

I was at the game and all the tributes were nothing short of amazing. The emotion in the stadium were overflowing. So proud to have been there.
