There is somebody who keeps posting on Facebook that they need to find a new home for two orange 3 y/o male cats. Both are declawed in the front and neutered, and she wants them to go together since they have a special bond. She says they are very sweet cats. I wish I could, but my husband thinks having just the one cat we have is enough. Does anybody in the cat section know of anybody in the Orlando area that would be willing to give these two a home? I don't know the person who is giving them away, but I have a great deal of concern for the welfare of the cats and don't want them to wind up in a high-kill shelter or anything.

Is there a group or forum for Orlando FL? Perhaps post it there. Giving any animal away for free can be signing it's death warrant.

sometimes either a vet or a groomer may know of a person who might take them. I was going to get a puppy when I asked the vet and he said funny you came it. I did ask why and he said I have the perfect dog for you same breed only a better fit for me. The dog was age 3 and spayed with shots etc. he knew the dog as he was her vet and the couple who did need a new home due to a new baby

Awww I wish I could, but we already did this 2 years ago with 2 twin female kittens. Look for a family with young kids. They are ideal to deal with new pets.

Declawing cats is very inhumane and leads to a lot of behavioral issues, just FYI for future cat owners reading this.

You could maybe look into some local cat rescues or worst case scenario a no-kill shelter. Best of luck finding homes for them!

This. Or South lake Animal League if they are closer.

So no one here is willing to step up and take them?

A cat is a long term decision that will effect the next 20 years of your life if you are a responsible person. That means if you are a renter knowing most places won't accept you, if you move out of country, you'll go through a lot of steps and thousands in fees to bring them, you will spend thousands in medical bills, food etc. It's not an impulse decision, so unless someone here was planning on adopting a cat, it would be irresponsible for someone to "step up" on an impulse.
