So I've been finding local specialty stores for several items:

Seafood: Bar Harbor
Meat: Hopkins Meat Market
Produce: Freshfield Farms

Is there a store that specializes mostly in deli meats? Petty's in Longwood is okay, but I'm looking for an alternative. Anything?

Petty's is gross. We came from Chicago where there was the most fabulous deli meat. We didn't enjoy what we got at Petty's at all. That said, we think Boar's Head meat is really good quality and was harder to find in Chicago and it's at every Publix down here.

I think there is a German deli somewhere around - they will have good deli meats - the imported stuff from Europe.

So Boar's Head from Publix is pretty much as good as I'll get here?
That's fine by me, I was just hoping there'd be a specialty store that catered specifically to that.

Thanks

Try this place:

Hollerbach's | Where Gemütlichkeit Happens

It looks like they have the good imported stuff.

Just as an FYI there's a fantastic seafood market much closer to home, Lighthouse Seafood in Lake Mary.

I too have found very little in terms of the artisan salami or other specialty Italian meats locally beyond Boar's Head....that's available to be sliced anyway.

For good, mostly locally-grown organic produce check out M&M Vitamin's on Lake Mary Blvd next to the post office. They have about half of the store committed to grocery items and get in very nice quality produce at a fair price.

M&M Vitamins, LLC

If you're not driven toward grassfed/pasture raised meats but want better quality check out Cavallari's in Lake Mary/Heathrow. It's an Italian specialty shop based in Oviedo that has opened a second location (not really the best in terms of Italian specialties with the same stuff found at Publix mostly) but they have a very nice butcher counter with quality meats.

You can check out Clemons Produce, which is about 10 minutes away from Freshfields Farm. It's a really neat mom & pop shop. I'm a fan of Freshfields Farm, but the parking and crowds can be unbearable if you need to shop on the weekend.

In addition to produce, Clemons has a small Amish deli. The store has a pretty active Facebook group where the owner shares his adventures of personally picking up some of the items up for the store, members share recipes, and even news from the farm/produce industry letting you know of potential industry-wide price hikes and drops in the future.
