Crime tends to peak in most places during the summer. While working in criminal justice in Boston summer was always the peak season for crime and heat waves often brought crime waves with them.

Try doing the same thing some blighted city in Ohio or Michigan.

It's no secret Orlando has its issues with crime but these alarmist crime threads are getting so tiresome. I feel like CityData is home to some of the wimpiest people on earth.

If that shocked you after everything you've seen in San Francisco or LA, then I don't know what to tell you.
lol exactly, when I saw "greyhound" I immediately thought that, in what american city is the block around a greyhound terminal any good

Its funny, I dont live there (yet) and the only time in the last 40 years Ive used a bus it was from Orlando to Atlanta. I went at night too and Im white, It was seedy but not as bad as he describes. I never felt it was threatening or especially bad

LOL, good thing they're only stories. However, a certain category for the area's crime statistics will take a hit this year.

Orlando will never top Chicago when it comes to crime. Chicago has gang bangers, Orlando has Alligators. Unfortunately the alligators of Orlando are easier to control than the Gangster Disciples and Vice Lords of Chicago.

All cities have crime. We aren't different. When they were shooting at the cops it started getting crazy, but (amazing how this works) when they started shooting at the cops, the cops took it seriously and put an end to it.

This heartbreaking, infuriating ISIS business can happen everywhere and will happen again, somewhere else. That's not just an Orlando problem, it is an America problem.

I never felt safer in Chicago than I did in Orlando. Now, I won't feel safe anywhere, Orlando, Chicago, doesn't matter.

Isis has no presence in Orlando FL. The city is not big enough. Orlando is not a top priority for Isis are any real terrorist organization.
