This is for county contractors... How many county contractors earn minimum wage? I can pretty much guarantee it's a VERY low percentage. This won't have any impact on pretty much anyone.

it failed-- sigh Residents were fighting to establish a so-called living wage for county employees of $11.66 per hour. The change was intended for everyone from maintenance workers to bus drivers.

People will move away- to earn more- COL is too high for $8 hr they could have compromised

COL high in Osceola County?? Compared to where?
Bus drivers and a maintenance workers are not going to make good money anywhere.
Speaking of, bus drivers are not earning $8/hr.

Yes, I agree with the egg prices, as even the generic-brand eggs are off-the-charts expensive now. This is the result of the aftermath of a bird flu epidemic. They'll drop back down in due time.

I can say a single person can live off $8.00 but not anyone with responsibilities. After 9-11 I was laid off- I worked 2 jobs and that was not enough -I have been in it-some days I wanted to rob the bank- ( they laid me off -LOL) but a lot of stressful days-
