Those ticks do not carry lyme disease. I had a tick infestation once. They are very difficult to get rid of. They spray will kill the ticks but not the eggs. If you are infested it will take several treatments. I would call a pest control company, or if you would like to do it yourself get a professional product like DEMAND CS, Demand Insecticide - Free Shipping

Also I got a spray pesticide from a can with a tube like on WD-40 to spray were the carpet meets the walls.

Also shampoo your carpets.

If you are infested, ticks like to hide behind things like pillows and posters..

I got rid of them, but it took several months.

I had this problem with fleas that my cats had brought it. Very similar scenario, and it was VERY annoying.

Never heard of Lyme disease in Florida, but it can happen, it seems.

I use Comfortis for my 7 dogs it is great for fleas and ticks. If they have fleas you will see them die the first day. It also seems to kill them from my yard as wild as that may seem. Early spring treatments tend to last for many months.

Not that wild, actually. Basically, the affected fleas transmit the poison to other fleas through their droppings, and it creates a chain reaction that eventually kills pretty much all of the critters.
When I had a flea infestation in my house, I treated my cats with Advantage II, and just from them running around the house and fleas jumping on them and dying, our problem was gone within a week (along with fumigating the house, of course.)

That's a dog tick. No worry for Lyme disease here.

Only deer ticks carry Lyme disease. Deer ticks are a lot smaller than Dog ticks.

I didn't think Lyme disease was down in Florida? I guess I learned something new.
